System Requirements

• Browser: Chrome 80+, Firefox 75+, Safari 13+, Edge 80+
• Internet: Minimum 1Mbps for exams, 5Mbps for live classes
• Devices: Desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone

First Time Login

1. Navigate to your school's exam portal: remote.autobell.uk
2. Click Login (top right)
3. Enter credentials provided by school:
   • Students: firstname@admission_number (e.g., john@2024/001)
   • Teachers: username provided during school setup
   • Admins: username provided during school setup
4. Click Sign In

Password recovery: Contact your school administrator.

Student Dashboard

After login you'll see: upcoming exams, recent results, live class sessions, notifications.

Taking an Exam

1. From dashboard click Upcoming Exams or Take Exam
2. Read instructions carefully
3. Click Start Exam
4. Answer each question (for structured, label parts a,b,c)
5. Click Submit when finished

Exam Rules

• ⏱️ Timed exams – submit before timer expires
• 🔄 Auto-save every 30 seconds
• 📵 No tab switching – may be flagged as cheating
• ✅ One attempt per exam (usually)

Viewing Results

My Results → select exam → view score, correct answers, feedback, class average.

Live Classes

Live Class from dashboard → join scheduled class. Features: audio, whiteboard, chat, see classmates.

Creating Exams – 3 Options

Option 1: AI Generate (recommended)

1. Exams → Create New Exam → AI Generate Exam
2. Choose curriculum: CBC Generate or 8-4-4 Generate
3. Fill parameters: subject, grade/form, topics, # questions, types, difficulty
4. Click Generate Exam with AI
5. Review/edit questions, set schedule, click Create Exam

Option 2: Import from File

1. Exams → Create New Exam → Import Exam with AI
2. Upload DOCX, PDF, or TXT – AI extracts Q&A, marks, types
3. Review and edit, set schedule, Create Exam

Option 3: Manual Creation

1. Exams → Create New Exam, fill details, add questions one by one
2. Set marks/correct answers, schedule, Save

Managing Exams

View all: Exams → All Exams (filter by status, search).
Edit/Delete: Find exam → click Edit/Delete (deletion removes all submissions).

Marking Exams

AI Marking (automatic for short answers):

1. Go to exam → AI Marking – processes in batches, progress bar shown

Review AI Marks: exam → AI Review – for each answer: Accept (✅), Adjust (✏️), or Add Feedback (💬).

Manual Marking: exam → Manual Mark → select question, mark student answers, Save and Next.

Analytics & Reports

• Analytics: Score distribution, question analysis, class average, absentee list (send SMS to parents).
• Export: Excel or PDF.

Live Class Management

Live Classes → Start New Class → select grade → teach with whiteboard, audio, chat, screen share.

User Management

Grade Management

View/Add/Edit grades. Promote students at year end: Grades → Promote → choose whole school or specific grade → confirm.

Credits

View balances. Purchase: Credits → Purchase Credits → select type (SMS/AI), enter amount, complete M‑Pesa (instant). Manual addition for offline payments.

Exam Monitoring

Exams → view all exams across teachers, filter, click any to see details/analytics/submissions.

Reports

Reports → select date range → usage statistics, credit usage, user growth.
